NJTL of Trenton Receives $9,000 in Grants From USTA
National Junior Tennis & Learning of Trenton (NJTLT) announced they are the recipients of the USTA’s Facility Grant Fund in the amount of $6,000 along with USTA’s Middle States grant for $3,000. The combined grants will be used for renovations at the Junior Champions Tennis Courts, Cadwalader Park, Trenton. The grants are to provide communities access to safe, appealing and functional tennis environments to enhance the many program initiatives that NJTLT has to offer including Outreach Programs with over 25 public/charter schools and non-profit partners offering youth tennis and life skills during school and after school year round, Academic programs through NJTLT’s ACE (Academic Creative Engagement) and PACE (Pre-School Academic Creative Engagement) offering math, literacy, and health enrichment from pre-k through 5th grade and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) for 6th-8the grades. The essence of this initiative is to assist communities, leveraging their tennis facilities to promote lifelong healthy activity, and improve their programming by advancing the latest tennis innovations for all program types.
NJTL of Trenton creates opportunities for success by enriching the lives of under-resourced youth through innovative tennis, education and mentoring programs.
